Get to Know the Team - Erin Duffy Kruss

What were you doing before you joined the Mark Siwiec Team?

I was working for a boutique commercial real estate firm in Chicago. I represented Starbucks Coffee, working to secure high profile lease and purchase opportunities in Chicago’s downtown and suburban markets.  It was exciting to work on the new concepts that Starbucks is rolling out such as a new Roastery on Michigan Ave., Reserve Café’s and their new Princi Italian Bakery Café’s.  Prior to that, I was the Communications Director for Alderman Tom Tunney in the City of Chicago.

What are you most excited about in the next 12 months?

My husband and I just bought a new house.  We can’t wait to entertain our friends and family and enjoy our pool for as long as the weather lets us.  I love to decorate and am so excited to bring all of my endless Pinterest ideas to life.

Describe your perfect vacation.

I love a vacation with a mix of adventure and relaxation.  My husband and I honeymooned in Belize, which was a perfect vacation.  We stayed in the jungle for a few days where we did cave tubing, zip lining and climbed Mayan ruins.  Then we headed to the beach for the second half of our trip, where we didn’t do much more than lay out, snorkel, eat delicious meals and enjoy bottomless tropical drinks!

Where can we find you when you're not at work?

Mark allows us to have a day off? Just kidding! When I am not at work, you can find me spending time with my family on Keuka Lake, trying out new restaurants and recipes and introducing my husband to all of the great things that Rochester and the Finger Lakes have to offer.

What is the last movie that you watched?

The new Beauty & the Beast and I loved every minute of it.

Who has inspired you most in your life?

My parents.  I’m so lucky to have been raised by two incredible people who are exemplary role models of hard work, integrity and always staying positive.   Our family has always come first to them and they have always supported me to pursue my dreams while challenging me to be the best I can be.
