ROC Spotlight Series - Randi Lattimore

What are you reading?

As a daily routine, I try to read as much poetry by Hafiz as I can. In fact, "The Gift" and "A Year with Hafiz" are currently sitting on my nightstand, waiting to be read. I also read bits and pieces from books that give me inspiration for my classes. Right now I’m loving "Teaching People, Not Poses” by Jay Field. I am also (slowly) reading a book on my kindle called “Wonder of Wonders: A Cultural History of Fiddler on the Roof.”  Fun Fact – I’m a Broadway junkie!

What are you listening to?

My taste in music is quite vast... At any time you can catch me listening to anything from House Music to Reggae to Hip Hop, Blues, and Jazz. Before I was born, my dad sold records, so my family had a huge record collection growing up! He introduced me to The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Chicago, Elton John, and Rod Stewart.  I have also loved Motown since I was a little girl.  But... right now I am listening to the new Lumineers album... soooo good!

What is the last album or song that you downloaded?

I’m on Spotify daily, making playlists for my yoga classes. Follow me on Spotify if you want to see what I am playing! I love the chance to DJ a yoga class :-)

Do you have a favorite podcast(s)?

Definitely TEDTalks

What are you currently watching on TV?

I love watching Jimmy Fallon. We record that every night so that we can watch it the next day.  I also love cooking shows on the Food Network. I am a sucker for Chopped...

What is the last movie you saw?

The last movie that I saw in the theater was Hello, My Name is Doris. It’s a heartwarming comedy featuring Sally Field. What an actress! I loved it! I also love to watch documentaries and recently finished Searching for Sugar Man.

Who are you following on Twitter?

I don't Tweet, but I am on Instagram…does that count?

How do you spend your Sundays?

Sundays are the best! My perfect Sunday is waking up a little later than usual and relaxing in the kitchen with coffee and the paper. I also love to cook breakfast with my husband. These days, the perfect breakfast is avocado, arugula, and an egg on top of 9 grain toast. The day usually ends with a long walk with my dog, Violet, followed by some catching up with my kids and family.
