Get to Know the Team - Elliott

Elliott Pruitt - Client Concierge

What exactly does a Client Concierge do?

I think I’ll answer that by asking, what doesn’t a Client Concierge do? Since I’ve been on the job, I’ve realized that every day is different. With that being said, my primary job is to back up all of my co-workers and ensure the happiness of our clients.  Daily tasks can range anywhere from spending time on the phone with clients to ensure their happiness, delivering swim trunks to an out-of-town client who forgot them, or disposing of a dead animal that was found on a client’s property (all of which have actually happened!).  One thing I can say for sure is that my job is never boring!

What were you doing before you joined the Mark Siwiec team?

I had a brief stint as an Event Manager at Bath Fitter, which taught me a lot about business and patience. Before that, I worked as a coordinator at the Spa at the Del Monte for seven years. That position taught me that great team work is essential to provide phenomenal customer service. I wouldn’t have been prepared at all for this job if I hadn’t worked at the Spa for so long. I also co-founded a production company called SuperEgo Studios a few years ago and have co-produced ten plays in the last 8 years in both Rochester and NYC.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but if I had to pick one place right now, it would be Cuba. Since the US-Cuba relations are in the process of being reinstated, it’s only a matter of time before corporations move in and start to develop the country. I would love to witness the Cuban culture, along with their pristine coral reefs and mangrove forests.

Where can we find you when you're not at work?

Well, that depends on the season. If I’m not on stage or near a camera, then I am at my apartment or the gym. But if the temperature outside is above 65 degrees, you’ll find me in my kayak on any body of water that I can find (most likely Irondequoit Creek). Our production company has also just started the beginning stages of a new film project (stay tuned), so I’m busy with pre-production on that.

What's the last movie that you saw?

I just re-watched one of my favorite movies of all time, Radioland Murders, a dark-comedy about the opening night of a radio station in 1939. Everything seems to be going well until the cast and crew begin to die and it’s anyone’s guess who the killer is. George Lucas wrote and produced this gem of a movie that has an unbelievable number of cameo’s (it was one of George Burns and Rosemary Clooney’s last performances), including Jeffery Tambor, Michael McKean, Larry Miller and Christopher Lloyd. It was released in 1994 and was panned by critics, but I loved every minute of it! Check it out if you get a chance!

Sum up your personality in one word.

Only one word? That’s hard, but I’ll have to go with cheerful!
