Erin Lewis - Director of Transactions
What does a typical day of work look like for you?
I am Mark’s Director of Transactions, so I work on the pending contracts. What the heck does that mean? I spend my days making sure that all of the details of the contracts are being fulfilled so that closing can happen on time. My favorite part of my days is when I am able to kibitz with our team – I truly have the best, most intelligent coworkers. It’s rare to find a group of people with whom you can discuss serious current events one minute and laugh about the most ridiculous things the next. Most times, they are the highlight of my workday.
Where can we find you when you’re not at the office?
When not in the office, I am spending every possible second with my adorable daughter, Fiona, my spunky pup, Winston, and my smart, funny, and handsome husband, Chris. I love to do anything and everything outside; this time of year, we’ll bundle up and enjoy the snow (yep, I said it - enjoy). It gives us a great excuse to pop in to one of the local restaurants and warm up!
If you weren’t on the Mark Siwiec Team, what would you be doing?
Well, if I’m not on the Mark Siwiec Team that means that I have won the lottery. And in that case, after taking family and friends on a few tropical vacations, I will follow Bruce Springsteen on his latest world tour. After my fourth or fifth show with front row seats, Bruce will recognize me and pull me on stage. My hidden talents as an incredible backup singer/dancer will finally be revealed and I will become an official member of the E Street Band.
How do you spend your Sundays?
Sundays are one of my favorite days of the week! Usually, we’ll grab lunch somewhere in our Park Avenue neighborhood and then take our dog for a walk. I’m so lucky to live in the best neighborhood in Rochester! We have wonderful neighbors and are steps away from some of the best restaurants, coffee shops, and events Rochester has to offer.
What is the one thing about you that everyone knows?
I have a serious sugar addiction. SERIOUS. The way to my heart is through Wegmans buttercream frosting. . . or chocolate. . . or starbursts . . . or . . .
What has been the highlight of the past 12 months, and what are you looking forward to in the next 12 months?
Without question, the highlight has been welcoming our daughter into our family! I’m looking forward to watching her grow and develop – I can’t wait for her to speak in full sentences! I’m just dying to know what’s going on in that little head of hers. An added bonus is watching my husband become an amazing father and the relationship between Fiona and Winston flourish (who doesn’t love dogs and babies?).
