#1: The top moment of the past year was actually a continuous stream of realization that occurred, month after month, from January through December. We repeatedly came to comprehend that we were exceeding our sales of $42,000,000 in 2014 by 40%, each month! Far surpassing our goal of $50,000,000 with total sales of $59,000,000 by the end of 2015 definitely tops the list as a personal and professional highlight.
#2: Another monumental milestone for 2015 was celebrating my 50th birthday back in January - almost a full year ago! It certainly set the tone for the rest of the year and was the first of many highlights for 2015.
#3: This list wouldn’t be complete without mention of the traveling that Duffy and I did throughout Indonesia at the beginning of the year. Our journey included a three day river cruise in Borneo, practicing yoga in Bali, and breathtaking sunrises in Borobudur. Truly a remarkable and unforgettable experience that we hope to repeat in a few days as we embark on our next adventure throughout South Africa!
#4: As an avid lover of music, my top moments of the year have to make mention of the many concerts that I was able to take in between August and December! In particular, Alt-J, Sufjan Stevens, and Joanna Newsome – all incredible performances and a treasured part of 2015!
#5: Finally, Duffy and I were so fortunate to be able to buy a 26-unit building on Gibbs Street in April and seven units on Berkeley in December. Both of these ventures have been exceptionally exciting and will continue to take shape in the coming year! Stay tuned!
SIDE NOTE: Now, while it may not exactly be a “top moment,” the past year was certainly filled with a myriad of interesting events. One of my favorites was a near clash between two of our clients, Bill Gargan, the prosecutor for the DA’s office in the Charlie Tan case, and James Nobles, Charlie Tan’s defense attorney. Just as Bill was signing documents in our office, we had to hurry him along as James was just moments away from arriving to do the same! Never a dull moment…!
